We take pride in continuing a tradition of helping our neighbours and the greater community through charitable assistance in a manner which varies little between Lodges up and down the Land. Here then, are a few of the aspects of our Lodge that are peculiar to us. Who we are We are the Portcullis Lodge No. 6672. One of over 8000 Lodges in the United Kingdom. We are a Craft Lodge and work the traditional Masonic Emulation Ceremonies of Initiation, Passing & Raising. In so doing we endeavour to live up to the ideals of Freemasonry and aspire to make good men better, through self knowledge. Charity Portcullis Lodge is a part of the Berkshire Masonic Province. They administer a Charity Fund to which all the Berkshire Lodges contribute. It is from this fund and to a lesser degree from our own Charity Fund that donations are made to both Masonic and non-Masonic causes, usually following an application from a member of the Lodge on behalf of a suitable cause to the Charity Steward, who makes representations to the Berkshire Masonic Centre Fund. Individual members make contributions within their Lodge by collections at every meeting and also by standing orders. The amount donated by each member is up to him and is entirely confidential.
